Here is the plan to get you back to doing what you love and caring for yourself and your family.
- Introduction to pelvic floor anatomy and function
- Assessment/Physical Exam:
• Examining posture and the way the body moves
• Examining flexibility, strength and alignment of the pelvis, and lower quarter
• Potential internal examination of pelvic floor muscles (if appropriate)
• Analysis of breathing patterns and abdominal myofascial movement
- Treatment: (examples: working on flexibility, strengthening, mobility and stability of muscles and fascia, nerves and joints)
• Education in management of symptoms through self care: nutrition, specific exercise, stress management techniques, breath work
• Collaboration on specialized homework based upon work, lifestyle, goals, daily routine and your specific needs.
